Never let it be said we rest on our laurels, the last twelve months has been a mixed year with us welcoming more than few new clients, reconnecting with a few old phoenix companies (welcome back) but also losing a couple of cherished clients who disappeared off the scene completely due to liquidation.

What we’ve been doing is doubled down on our estimating system.

A couple of new potential clients approached us earlier in the year with some very specific needs. Having researched the market they approached us as we offered almost the perfect solution, well beyond the offerings of the other well known names in the market.

Identifying weaknesses and bolstering a product is key to system development. Unlike most of the other products on the market, LaunchSite™ is already a true multi-user system with real-time updating (and as many estimators in a single project as desired) so we have looked at other functions.

We already offered speed, stability and comprehensive resourced libraries with full BQ and taking-off capabilities built-in. So what to do?

Two substantial needs were identified with our new prospects and we have been happy to accommodate the changes. Now, any rogues (new items) are saved in the master library for future use (other systems lose these as they are only added to the project) and our new ‘traffic light indicators’ keep the user in touch with resource prices, highlighting those that have been priced and those that haven’t. Even resources that have been priced on the project but subsequently had their quantities changed are monitored, so economies of buying scale are clearly identified and not overlooked.

What’s more, it’s now sublimely easy to ‘sign-off’ library items. This means, even standard supplied libraries can easily be manipulated for the users own needs and accepted items highlighted as being ‘safe’.It all means safety when managing built-up-rates, essential when margins are tight and projects are hard won.

Demonstrations of the system featuring the new functions can be booked now by clicking the link below.
